Admission Process
- Nursery admissions are largely managed by schools only
- They have their own criteria and admit students accordingly
- The norms set by Delhi Government are that the admissions would be through lucky draws and neighbourhood criteria provided they qualify the age for the respective class. Normally it is minimum 3 years for nursery and likewise for elder classes. Some schools also take admissions on a first come first serve basis. It solely depends on the school.
- These days, schools are offering online admissions as well. Some have gone exclusively online while others having both online and offline forms open
- Since neither the child nor the parent can be rejected based on any kind of test(s) under RTE Act, schools are now having preferences. Wherein, siblings or kids of alumnis may be preferred but then again it is not a very strict or compulsory rule.
- You can search the schools in you neighbourhood and apply to them online or offline or as said by them.
